Ferries are the best way to travel between the North Shore and the city. Kirribilli wharf and Milsons Point wharf both connect to Circular Quay in about five minutes. The ride across the harbor is scenic and costs the same as a bus trip with your Opal card. Trains from Milsons Point station reach Wynyard (CBD) in two minutes and Central Station in about eight. North Sydney station is on the same line. Buses from North Sydney connect to Mosman, Manly, and the Northern Beaches. For day trips, the ferry to Manly from Circular Quay is a 30-minute harbor cruise in itself.
