GoDaddy is the world's largest domain registrar and hosts millions of websites. The all-in-one ecosystem makes it easy to manage domains, hosting, email, and marketing from a single dashboard. However, the hosting performance itself is only average for the price.

GoDaddy shared hosting speeds were underwhelming in our tests. Time to first byte averaged 500-800ms, placing it below budget hosts like Hostinger. The managed WordPress plans performed better but still trailed dedicated WordPress hosts.

We recorded 99.93% uptime over 12 months, which is adequate but not exceptional. A few longer outage windows brought the average down. Mission-critical sites should consider a more reliable provider or upgrade to GoDaddy's managed hosting tiers.

Plans include a free domain, free SSL for the first year, one-click installs, and email for the first year. The integrated dashboard connects to GoDaddy's domain, marketing, and website builder tools. The convenience of having everything in one place is genuinely useful.

GoDaddy is not the most affordable option despite its brand recognition. Introductory prices at $5.99 per month are higher than competitors offering more features. Renewal rates jump sharply, making long-term hosting costs above average.

GoDaddy offers 24/7 phone support, which is a real advantage. Chat is also available around the clock. Wait times were moderate at about 5-10 minutes for phone. Agent quality was decent for general hosting questions but sometimes lacked depth for technical issues.
