Jira is not known for simplicity. New users often find the interface overwhelming, and administration requires dedicated effort. Once configured properly, it works well, but expect a significant onboarding period for both admins and end users.

Jira offers a free plan for up to 10 users, which is genuinely useful for small teams. Standard at $8.15 per user per month is reasonable. Premium at $16 adds advanced roadmaps and analytics. Enterprise pricing is custom.
